SISTER SHALOM OFFICIAL ARTIST SITE
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, into a family of singers and musicians, Sister Shalom’s upbringing was centered around church. Sister Shalom’s foundation in music started with her singing in the church, and singing background vocals for her mom who was also a gospel artist. Despite a strong foundation in the church, Sister Shalom veered off from the Word of God as a young adult and fell into the ways of the world for over a decade.
In 2018, Sister Shalom relocated to Dallas, TX for a fresh start. She joined a local church where she began singing in the choir. “It’s as if my life had come back full circle to church and music”, says Shalom. It wasn’t until I joined the choir, that I began to feel an obligation to uphold my integrity as a servant of God. From that point on, I knew I was required to utilize my gift of singing to not only stay righteous in my own walk, but to also help lead others to the Word of God.
In 2020, Sister Shalom began her ministry as an independent artist. "As servants of God, we are required to serve in full capacity. God gave me the gift to sing and make music, so music is my way of ministering the Word of God", says Shalom.
I’m originally from Atlanta, GA born and raised. My upbringing was centered around church; my family was heavily engaged in the church starting when I was just two years old...
My artist name is Sister Shalom, which means peace. James 3:18 KJV states “And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace...”
